Early Days Medley The early days of Phil's music, here is an 8 minute rough mix of the highlights from 1999-2004. All instrument parts were written, performed and produced by Phil Phox except those indicated below1. Clip 1 - was written for the award winning2 short film 'Der Antrag / Pop the Question' by Gonda-Bastian Sinagowitz. This is the original instrumental version. Clip 2 - 'Gypsy Song' was written as part of the Futui Project. The idea for this music was to create something different to Phil's usual style, listen out for the accordian part - his first ever! Clip 3 - 'Across the Miles', another Futui Project product. Inspired from a Christmas card with the same title. Clip 4 - To this day remains untitled and is one of the earliest of Phil's productions. This was simply an experimental demo of building the tracks one by one to the same repeating chord structure. Clip 5 - 'Intervention'. . Futui Project again, particular attention on this track should be brought towards the dualling guitars after the solo break. Clip 6 - 'Remeniscing Fantasy'. The chords for this song existed for years before being made into this Futui Project. Listen out for the first ever bongo track of Phil's. Clip 7 - 'Easy'. This is a pure Phil Phox Production written back in the day where it was 'Easy' for everyone else to say that the time will come for your dreams and ambitions to come true. Only in reality it wasn't that 'Easy' at all. Kind of inspired by the 'Wait and see' and 'Time will tell' sayings. Clip 8 - 'Your Life'. Phil's first ever fully completed song from 1999. This original song was an optimistic development through life, where everything seemed it couldn't get any worse. By the end of the track Phil has taken you through the emotional rise lyrically which builds up to the solo demonstrated here. 1. Vocals on excerpt 2 & 6 and Organs on excerpt 8 are not Phil Phox Performances. |
